Ability scores and determination
In a previous post I stated that I wanted my RPG to be simple; less complicated. Well, I am about to propose the most complicated method of determining ability scores that I have seen in any game to date. I already broke my first rule.
The basis of this system will be the d12 roll. I like the way a d12 feels, and I like the way it rolls more than I do the d20. Yes, that is an odd way to determine a base roll, but I am determined to stick with it. Follow me…
All rolls to determine success will be opposed by another roll or be compared to a set value. Nothing new here, but the difference will be in
Roll playing game concept
Like so many others before me, I have attempted to generate my own fantasy role-playing system many times over the years. I have had good starts and bad ones. Each time I learned something new. The most important thing that I learned is; it is easy to lose momentum and to quit the project abruptly for no particular reason. I don’t know if it is boredom or short attention span or what, but it happens every time. It will probably happen this time as well. My intent, however, is to post my progress here on DA in the hopes that I will receive constructive criticism that helps me stay motivated and on task. I thank

Allison's RPG Rules, 1-25:
Things Allison-Beriyani is no longer allowed to do in an RPG 1-25:
1. If the GM asks me where an NPC is, the answer better not be "Right now? Mostly in my small intestine."
2. If playing a Cleric, not allowed to consecrate people, places, things or intangible concepts.
3. Not allowed to De-Consecrate them either.
4. No skirting around the GM's "NO DROW" policy by radically altering their emo personalities. As bad as the angst is, Peppy Cheerleaders, Guidos and Sheldon Cooper knockoffs are worse.
5. Not allowed to buy another player's Cursed D20.
6. Or steal it.
7. Or promise sexual favors from other players to him for it.
8. And
Just signed up today. I look forward to checking out some of the RPG information I see here. Lots of talented people. Hopefully I can add something to the discussion.
